(even in an islamic country) the good news is it's not any hotter within the church than without it. the bad news is it's over 100 degrees out. on a positive note, there are three fans inside. but it is neat that these people have this in the midst of all that goes on outside these doors. it is really amazing to see an islamic family interact and see the difference between how they interact with each other and how they interact with us. amazing hosts they are, but one can't help but wonder "what lies beneath."
after this it's off to mcdonalds (i'm not kidding) and then up to the berber village in the mountains. can't wait to ee it (the village, not the mcdonalds). ok, gotta start paying attention now.

team photo. it's not blurry, it's just been a long day and we're all a little fuzzy looking. i'm about to go home and get ready for my scrub and massage. trey has agreed to be my loofa partner. that's a joke. to be clear trey will not be loofaing me, nor will i loofa him. that's set for 930, dinner is at 11. holy crap, if i'm awake at 11 it will be a testament to the power of mint tea.

this was lunch. i already ate the green beans with their special spices and the lamb sausage (not pork but close enough). there's still some watermelon left if you want some. today i got a camel attache (that's a bag made of camel, not a dromedary version of "my man friday") a "screen on the green" blanket, some soap, a special berber sinus/anti-snoring potion and a present or two. but after all of that, i was VERY hungry, so now i am most excited about my watermelon. juicy watermelon. aaaaaaaaauuuuugggghhhh. btw, i realized i have never had a vacation where i wasn't "running the show" before. i will either learn patience or suffer an anuerysm : ) i'm praying for patience, understandably.
