here are alissa and sela on top of a house where a berber potter lives. jen made a tagine. it's a traditional berber cooking pot and name of dish. now we're back on the trail! oh, and i cut my head on a branch and now i'm bleeding. luckily (if i need a blood transfusion) i've had my pre-travel hepatitis shots. jen says, "hi, suzanne!"

this is me signaling for help a few kilometers outside of a mountain village. our van broke down and we are on the side of the road. if you know any berber van drivers, please don't hesitate to send them our way. btw, someone scored a touchdown here, but i'm not gonna say who. digestive football metaphors are all the rage!

the glasses were free. it would rock if they were in arabic instead of english. we're talking right now to a guy who went to sudan to help a tribe there, but then things turned bad and he was able to get airlifted out by the us ambassador. that makes me think i ain't got it so bad.
