soap box derby

just wanted to post a few pics from the soap box derby race that they had across from my house. pretty fun setup, but it was a little too crowded for one of the hotter days we had this summer. i was amazed at the turnout there at piedmont park, and hadn’t really had any idea the focus was on creativity, not speed. i got to see some pretty amusing entrants as pictured below. favorite was definitely the “fur bus” which more or less exploded going over the jump!
