Shred or Die
all apologies for my lateness in getting this post out. the lesson here? i’m a slackass. a special note, going forward, all blog pictures will be clickable. clicking them won’t make you smarter, but it will increase the size of the photo. this service i supply to you free of charge.
sooooo, stephen, jason and myself were planning on taking a trip out to breck, and thanks to suzanne we were also graced by sue, carrie and matt. we had a sweet pad right on the slopes in breck and matt had the sweet hookups at “eric’s”. also, matt is the inventor of two of the greatest drinks of all time. the matt dark, and the matty lite. this is either a dark or regular hoegarten mixed 4 parts to 1 with frambois lambic. i LOVE this beer. seriously. i mean it.
anyway, the video will be posted here when i can finish my edits, but until then, i’ll include some photos.
here we’re just starting out, with joy in our hearts (in spite of the 5 degree temperatures and poor visibility on day 1) and stephen gives a “hang ten” for frosty’s access.
that night we all warmed up while having some cold beers with dinner
the next day was pretty similar in terms of weather, but it was just warm enough that we were able to board all day long. then that night we headed out to an O2 bar. let me tell you, you haven’t lived until you’ve kicked some O2. for those of you not down with the “light element” scene, that’s oxygen (squared). here suzanne and esteban get their O2 on.
here, jason checks the guest book. someone named cory likes bears and cheese. um, i hope cory’s mom isn’t reading this, but he’s probably not gonna get into the college of his choice.
here’s a team photo of all of us after we had finished getting our O2 on. now’s as good a time as any to mention our O2 was “flavored”. i chose “serenity” while jason (pictured here with his arm around me) picked “joy”. he and i were sharing a room, so that made me a little uneasy, and so i had a little more “serenity” to chill out.
As you might expect by the end of the trip, we were pretty wiped. Jason was prone to night terrors so we felt it best if he slept in full protective head gear.
anyway, thanks to all of you for being a part of the trip and for helping to make it a great time. also, special thanks to the guy who invented the hand and toe warmers without which i might not still have my 18 remaining digits. rock on!
