The Yates Cup (now in its 3rd year of competition) brought competitors together yesterday for another installment of golfing excellence. Mark Joines was seeking to win and rally to tie up this season’s series at 3 a piece. No competitor has ever won after having been down 3 to 1, and Mark is seeking to become the first. He leads the overall competition having won 3 or the 4 previous Yates cup and is the current Yates Cup holder.
I started out VERY slowly as my putter has seemingly been possessed by an unclean spirit. Mark pointed out the problem, but not until he had a comfortable lead in the round and proceeded to close me out on the 13th hole, winning 6 and 5. Here Mark flashes a smug smile after closing me out.
Mark closed out a big round with a 1 over on the backside.
Not a good day for Breland fans the world over.

We kicked off the Braves season at Turner Field with a blast on Friday night as the Braves took on the Mets. John Thomson got the win and Danny Kolb got the save as the Braves bested the Mets.
We tailgated before the game and then headed into the game. The Henry Family was on hand, including a shy Evelyn.
Gwendolyn was not too shy to get a hug from Scooby (who we are assuming is a stadium approved mascot).
We then climbed to the top of the stadium to watch the game. Breathless, but not without beer we cheered the team on to victory. Luckily I was sitting next to some hotties, too!!
By the end of the night we learned one thing…..giving beer to hotties is a good thing!!!!!!!
Looks like it’s gonna be a big season for the Braves!

March 22nd was an important date for men the world over. Jason Rhodes (of Rhodes Industries, a Flipco Corporation) and myself took the field to battle for sexual supremacy against Mandy and Audra Mullen of the late 70’s “Folk Explosion” singing Mullenses. The weapons of choice? Rackets and fuzzy yellow balls. Not since Bobby Riggs challenged Billie Jean King in the early 70’s has a match been met with such enthusiasm. Finding the Astrodome had been demolished, we decided to battle it out at Hammond Park.
Prior to the match, our confidence ran high, and i even took time to do an ad shoot. Normally i don’t shill products, but when the people from Aquafina approached me, i decided they were the kind of product that fit with my personal brand image
Once the match got going, though, it was all business. Here i wait at the net, cringing in anticipation of Jason whizzing a serve either right past, or into, my head.
The match ended in a victory for team Alpha Male, but we were gracious enough to take a few photos with the team that didn’t win (notice the omission of the word loser – we’re all winners here).
Later the girls treated us to free beer – a manly celebration indeed : )
