Ski Trip • 03.08.05

Just flew back in from Park City and boy are my arms tired. Ummmmm, ok, here we go. We got some good photos but also a ton of great video of some major league shredding….actually pretty minor league and unfortunately, it’s mostly just the ugly bits we caught on film. Anyway, here are a couple of the pictures…..some of the video will go out onto the website whenever i get it from Doug.
As you can see here, the party got a little crazy at times.

But for the most part we kept our ski clothes on and stayed out of trees.

I mean except for this example where there was a notable shortage of women in the hot tub.

Here Drew flaunts the terms of his parole as he asks a little girl what she wants for Christmas.

MC appears to be choking me here, but it was just a friendly discussion about who shreds the most.

All in all, the weather was gorgeous and we had a great time.



Any ski trip that doesn’t end with me riding in a sled down the mountain has to be considered a success, so I’d say this one was.

Karen’s Bday • 02.23.05

emily hosted a bday party for karen last saturday as we all celebrated karen’s birthday getting one year older (her actual age continues to hold steady at 29). emily fixed a lovely spread….and if i had a picture of the broccoli i would put it here. unfortunately, someone must have eaten two pieces, meaning they were all gone before anyone could capture the vegetables for posterity. the party proceeded normally and civilly until j rho decided yager?sp?? bombs were in order.
here jason is drunk under the table by mandy, one of any number of women able to beat j rho in drinking games.

this is where i would insert a picture of a few of us all wearing emily’s bathrobes or of karen trying to breakdance if i had said pictures. actually, i’d even settle for a picture of the enormous bruise on karen’s leg from attempting the “kid and play”….hopefully they’ll arrive soon! OK, KAREN HAS RELAYED THE PHOTOS….

note that jason appears stoned in virtually all photos……
below is yet another picture…in this one julie’s posing, drew’s looking somewhere else, and jason is once again appearing to be under the influence of something.

Snow Day…AOK • 01.29.05

if no one noticed, Atlanta got iced in towards the end of January…i spent that time watching a LOT of tv and playing in a tennis match that our opponents wouldn’t let us out of. i nearly ran off the road when the ice finally flew off the hood of my car and onto my windshield (which i could not clean due to the frozen wipers). ultimately, i survived….anyway, here are some photos from the storm. these are all taken either from my balcony or in the park across from my house.
i was going to have a snow day grill out but thought better of it.

at some point in the weekend, i realized that i hadn’t actually been outside in something like 36 hours so i walked over to the park. i discovered (to my horror) that from inactivity i had shrunk to only 2 inches tall.

Later, I returned to normal size and took a picture of this limb

and one of the fence surrounding the park covered with ice

After all of that, i was exhausted and turned in for a nap!
