We got into Seattle yesterday afternoon after catching the bainbridge ferry (just in time I might add – I’m a helluva driver) and getting a great view of the whole city with a few warm sun rays breaking through the clouds to highlight the skyline. We checked into our schnazzy little room at the Westin, showered up and headed out to dinner and drinks in Pike’s. Etta’s for dinner was one of our best yet and then we went over to Campagnie cafe where we met up with an old middle school classmate of mine, Lisa, and her husband Ashley. The next morning, this morning, we spent entirely at the Pike’s Place Market. Pictures below is Lillis eating a pastry at a fancy little French bakery and ordering her coffee at the original Starbucks. Lillis was excited bc the market was basically 10’s of thousands of square feet of flowers, organic fruits and veggies, fish, coffee, and artisinal cheeses. We actually got to see cheese being made and ate some curd. I’m halfway to catching up with miss muffet. Then, on to the airport where I learned I had driven 980 3/4 miles over the past 6 days. Lillis drove the other 1/4 mile :). Now, onward and upward. Atlanta by 10:30, in bed by midnight.
