Beating the Vols (finally) 10/22

Posted in Uncategorized on Dec 03, 2005

well, after just 11 years of waiting, and in my 8th ever “3rd saturday in october” i finally got to see the tide roll up on the orange (bryan and lyndsay’s wedding fell on that day two years ago).

anyway, it was probably one of the most satisfying victories ever, which could only have been improved if fat phil had suffered a debilitating injury while trying to eat his own hand or something.

so, on to the pics. the greatest accomplishment of the day is that emily actually said “roll tide”!! i almost cried.

btw, if you’re wondering about he shirt and whether or not you’ve seen it before, you wear the same gameday uniform (shirt and underwear) to every game until your team loses. then you put on the back up uni and wear that until your next loss.

now’s as good a time as any to mention that condi rice was on hand to throw out the coin toss.

we had a few people sporting good head gear in our area….this guy wore his bear hat – awesome!!

jason and holly were crazy about bama football, just not at the same time

oh, i did say there were multiple examples of fine haberdashery didn’t i???

unfortunately, whoever took the picture there didn’t count off for us, so j and i were in the process of saying something when the picture was taken. it doesn’t appear to have been the same word, though.

we partied with this guy after the game. it was pimp juice and vodka all night long!!

and now some video from the game, specifically the game winning field goal – a site i’ve waited a looooooong time for!!

A couple of weeks later, Michael Irvin was arrested for drug paraphernalia in his car. Coincidence? Naaahh.

Meanwhile, has anyone seen Otis Day lately?

i usually try not to really mention what i'm thinking here, as it is my general supposition that no one really cares, but today will be an exception. i'm not even going to pretend that any more than 3 people in america might find me insiteful, but i figured i'd just put it out here. […]
